Magzines for men

Hello,

This is my first blog post thingy, not sure what to write, but I believe blogging is good for a rant? Well I never say no to a rant. Maybe I should introduce myself briefly first? My name is Laura, I'm 20, I study journalism, I'm quite oppionated, many things annoy me from the male species, that thing they call Heather Mills, to finding in every newspaper I read a bloody 'limited edition' magazine on Princess Diana. I take a great interest in gender issues, I'm not a liberal feminist who hates men, they can't help being useless, but I find the changing role of women in society interesting.

Anyway, here's a wee rant...well it is not really a rant, but.... I'm expected to produce a magazine for a journalism course in a group of four and three of them happen to be men. This is completely fine, but the magazine we have decided to do is for men (surprisingly). I do not mind this at all, it is something different and my group have good ideas. However, I'm expected to think like a man and present some ideas for the magazine that men would like to read. All I can think about is the obvious, and not much reading is involved! Other than the same old reviews, damn video games etc, my ideas seem to be same old same old. So any ideas would be much appreciated. Therefore if you are a man, or you think like a man, what would you like to see in a magazine?

Anyway, I will leave now to fullfil my role in society, by cleaning the student house whilst I ponder over men magazines.
